Long-term residence for investors
Oman golden visa (long-term investor residence)
Oman's investor residency programme grants 5 or 10-year residence to investors who meet minimum investment or employment criteria — often through the company they set up. We advise founders on qualifying and apply alongside the company setup.

The two main investor tiers
| Tier | Typical qualifying routes |
|---|---|
| 10-year residence | Investment of at least OMR 500,000 in a company, government bonds or qualifying property, or a company employing at least 50 Omani nationals |
| 5-year residence | Investment of at least OMR 250,000 in a company, government bonds or qualifying property |
Retirees with a qualifying stable monthly income may be eligible for a separate 5-year residence. Criteria, qualifying asset classes and fees are set by the authorities and are reviewed periodically, so we confirm them before you invest.

Golden visa or standard investor visa?
If your investment is below the thresholds, the standard investor residence visa through your company is usually the route. It is typically valid for two years and renewable.
Golden residence for company founders
For founders, the long-term residence programme is often linked to the company they set up: investing in an Omani company, together with employing Omani nationals, is one of the qualifying routes. We assess whether your planned investment can qualify while we set up your company, so you can apply as soon as the conditions are met.
